Sam Gopinath

Hi! I'm Sam, a current Bachelor of Clinical Science/Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at Western Sydney University. I completed the IB Diploma in May 2025, achieving high grades in my HLs of Psychology, Biology and Chemistry. I've been tutoring students since I graduated, supporting them with challenging concepts, assessment preparation and effective study strategies.

What sets me apart is my strong understanding of the demands and skills needed to succeed in the IB. I have spent significant time analysing past papers, mark schemes and the recurring question styles students will come across, and I help students develop strong exam technique, from interpreting questions and applying knowledge to structuring responses and approaching unfamiliar problems with confidence. My teaching style is patient and adaptable, with a heavy focus on active questioning and exam-style practice.

During school I was Cultural President and Vice President consecutively, and also the USG of Communications, Logistics and Marketing for a large-scale Model United Nations conference. I founded and led student initiatives focused on sustainability, education and community engagement, including Project Oxigenado, which was presented at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Outside of study, I have trained in Bharatanatyam for 13 years, performing across India and representing India in international dance competitions. I also enjoy music, badminton and travelling.
