IB English, French & Biology Tutor in Sydney
SCECGS Redlands graduate · UNSW · Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws
Hi, I am Marina and I graduated from SCECGS Redlands in 2023. My IB diploma subjects were English A Literature, Portuguese A Literature, French B, History, Mathematics AI and Biology.
I am commencing a Bachelor of Arts/Law at UNSW this year, majoring in English Literature and minoring in Advanced French Studies. I would ultimately love to work as an environmental and animal lawyer, as I am a strong believer in the importance of sustainability and biodiversity protection.
I chose to study the IB because of the globally-minded nature of the course: I really enjoyed the critical, well-rounded perspective that I gained on each of my subjects, as well as the fact that we were constantly encouraged to push ourselves and to think outside of the box.
My favourite subjects at school were English and Biology, combining two of my passions: literature and nature. In particular, I love that both subjects challenged me to think critically and be curious about the world around me, albeit in different ways.
My hobbies include reading, writing, playing piano, and spending time in nature. I also love to travel, and would like to do so as much as possible in the coming years.
Marina is one of three students in her cohort who graduated with a Bilingual IB Diploma. Achieving a grade A in her Theory of Knowledge subject and Extended Essay (English), Marina is available to mentor students through these subjects as well as provide support and feedback by reviewing essays and internal assessments.
