About Aiden

Hi, I'm Aiden! I graduated from Redlands in 2025, where I studied Maths AI HL, History HL, Economics HL, Physics SL, German B SL and English Language & Literature SL. I am currently studying a double degree at the University of Sydney; a Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics).

At school my favourite subjects were History, Maths and Physics. I loved how Maths and Physics could explain and organise an otherwise chaotic world, and how they can be used to build extraordinary things. My Physics IA looked at the lift curve, the point at which an aircraft stalls, on a simple aerofoil, which came out of a lifelong love of aircraft and spacecraft.

History has been a lifelong passion and something I have carried forward as a minor in my BA. My History IA examined the argument that the introduction of the stirrup, and with it heavy cavalry, was the catalyst for European feudalism. My EE, also in History, looked at the impact of Portugal's Carnation Revolution and the decolonisation that followed on the neighbouring state of Rhodesia.

Outside of academics I enjoy travel and learning more about the world. My free time usually goes to scale modelling, spearfishing, reenacting, video games and rocketry.
